Short CV

Rev Cedric Jacobs MBE JP was national Chairperson of the National Aboriginal Conference (NAC) prior to the establishment of ATSIC as we know it today.

As an advocate for Indigenous issues and past injustices that have adversely affected Indigenous Australians, he has established an excellent repoire as a pro-active advocate for social justice within the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal community alike.

More recently his appointment as the Regional Chairperson of ATSIC, was strongly committed to the promotion of a hands-on and proactive leadership in both the development of management and community direction policies.  His efforts and strong advocacy resulted in the establishment and formation of the ‘First Nations’ Advantage Credit Union in Western Australia.  Another outcome success of his hands-on and proactive leadership capacity as Chairperson of the ATSIC Regional Council was the establishment of the ‘Perth Economic Foundation’.
