Abstract
Noongar
Nation: Progressing the Process
The last
two years has seen the discussion of the nature of Noongar sovereignty take new
leaps, but now the time has come for engagement with the communities throughout
Noongar country to take place.
How do we do this? Who are the representatives to take responsibility for the
decisions that need to be made?
Once the representatives are known, what are the suggestions they need to
discuss?
The Aboriginal Legal
Service of Western Australia have spent some time considering these questions.
There are no absolute answers, but a suggested approach will be made by the
Chief Executive Officer, with discussion to follow.
